Insurance

There are hundreds of insurance plans available for chiropractic treatment. Chiropractic treatment is a covered benefit in virtually all traditional insurance policies. In fact, according to some reports, as many as 87 percent of all insured American workers have coverage for chiropractic services in their health care plans.

Most insurance will place two types of limitations on coverage; either they will limit the total dollar amount they will pay, or they will limit the total number of times you can visit the chiropractor in a given year.

We accept the majority of insurance plans however there are some plans we do not accept. With the pressures of managed care and other insurance changes there are some plans we have opted out of mainly due to the severe restrictions that the insurance company places on doctors treatments.

Please read over your insurance plan to see what exact benefits you have before coming in to our office. Our staff is ready and able to help you with any questions that you may have about your coverage. As a courtesy to you our insurance staff will call your insurance company to verify your benefits and how it will cover your procedures at our clinic.

Please understand that your insurance is a contract between you and the insurance company and we are only a provider. Ultimately, you are responsible for your insurance and it's related deductibles and co-payments.
 

Worker Compensation - On-The-Job Injury

If you were injured on the job in Pennsylvania, you have a right to be compensated by your employer for your injuries.

Pennsylvania Workers Compensation is graciously accepted in our office. No referrals necessary. Your employer's workers' compensation insurance carrier should be responsible for the payment of any reasonable, necessary and causally related medical expenses associated with your work injury.

PA workers compensation laws require every employer to post a list of at least 6 doctors for the employees to choose from in case of an on-the-job injury. Your employer cannot (and should not) make the choice for you. You are free to choose your own doctor if your employer does not have a list available. And you are free to select another doctor on the list if the first choice was unsatisfactory. Within that list a Doctor of Chiropractic should be listed. If so, you are required by law to treat with the listed doctors for a period of no less than 90 days. After 90 days of treatment and you feel that your problem isn't any better you have the rights to seek out the services of another doctor including a Doctor of Chiropractic.

If in fact there is no Doctor of Chiropractic listed on the company's list then you have the right to seek out treatment from a chiropractor for your injury.

Workers Compensation Injuries Are Any Injury During The Course of Your Employment Including:

Athletic Injuries. Many professional athletes have team doctors however in many cases the injury does not resolve. The athlete is then forced to seek out an outside opinion or treatment. This is covered as a workers comp injury.
Construction Injuries. Many workers on a construction site endure many grueling hours of physical work which can lead to sprains, strains, joint inflammation and many other physical injuries. These injuries will be fully covered by your workmen's compensation.
Office Work. May employees suffer from "over use" injuries that cause pain, inflammation and loss of motion. Injuries like lower back pain, neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and other debilitating injuries.
Chronic Injuries. Many people don't understand that jobs such as truck drivers, cab drivers, nursing assistants, waitresses, waiters, retail sales and many other jobs can lead to pain. You have the right to have those injuries treated on a timely basis.

Auto Accidents Patients Accepted

Personal injury includes car accidents, slip and falls, accidents on other property than your own and injury caused by someone else's negligence. Injuries such as neck pain, lower back pain, chronic pain in the joints or muscles. This also includes injuries to the shoulder, ankle, hip, elbow, wrist, hands, feet, or ankle. We treat all of these type of musculo-skeletal injuries and can have you feeling better fast.

You have the right to have your to have your injures treated without spending any money out of your pocket. You will need your auto insurace card, the name of your insurance company and we'll do the rest. Once verified you can begin treatment with the doctor without any cost to you.

If you find that your insurance policy doesn't cover your treatment the Conway Clinic we have very affordable non interest payment plans that can help you get the care you need. You will be surprised on how affordable the unique treatments are at the Conway Clinic. Once the doctor has consulted and examined you our office they can work with you to so that you can afford you the care that you are looking for.
 

Medicare

Medicare Insurance is for seniors who qualify for medicare benefits and Medicare will be used as your primary insurance. Unfortunately other supplemental insurances will not cover your treatments when using Medicare.

It is Medicares position that they will not pay for any of your examinations. This is not Conway Clinic's policy...please understand this is Medicare's policy of not paying for examinations. Your first visit will be an out-of-pocket expense for the complete examination that you will receive by the doctor.

Also, please understand that Medicare only pays for spinal manipulation only. That means that they will only pay for adjustments to the spine. In many cases, this will be the only treatment needed for your condition however Dr. Conway specializes in many different types of treatments which won't be covered.
