Frequently Asked Billing Questions

Q: How can I make a payment?

A: All standard forms of payment are accepted, including cash, check, cashier's check, money order and all major credit cards. Aside from paying your bill online, you can always bring your payment into the office, send it by mail, or pay over the phone with a credit card.

To pay online by credit or debit card, go to the Pay My Bill tab in this section. To pay by credit card over the phone, please call the office at 570-287-7070. You may also pay in cash or check at the office or mail your payment to the payment address listed on the patient statement.

Q: Why did I receive a bill if I have insurance coverage?

A: You will receive a bill after your insurance processes our bill. The amount you are billed for is based on what your insurance communicates to us on an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). Your insurance also mails you an EOB, which details how your insurance processed our bill and calculated your responsibility based on your individual insurance plan. If you believe your responsibility is inaccurate, please contact your insurance directly (check your insurance card or EOB for the telephone number).

Q: I don't understand papers from my insurance company, how do I understand what they are paying for?

A: If you do have insurance benefits we will submit your medical claim for you, on average claims take about 30 days to process. After your claim is processed your insurance company will send you a paper explaining what charges were billed by your provider, how much the insurance company paid for these services, and what amount of the bill is your responsibility (i.e. your deductible, co-pay, co-ins); this paper is called your EOB (Explanation of Benefits). Every insurance company's EOB's are different, which can make reading them somewhat difficult if you don't understand how your insurance policy works. Calling your customer service representative for an explanation is the best way to understand what your insurance is and isn't paying for; however, we know that usually involves waiting on hold which sometimes isn't possible for you to do.

Q: Do I have to pay my entire bill all at once?

A: Conway Clinic offers many payment options, including monthly payment installments. To discuss your bill and payment options, please call the billing department at 570-287-7070. To ignore the bill or send in less than full payment without contacting us may cause your bill to progress through our collections process, including transfer to a collection agency where it may appear on your credit report and incur an additional penalty fee.

I still have a question.

If your billing question is not listed, please call the office at 570-287-7070, or e-mail us at billing@conwayclinic.com. We look forward to assisting you.
